How long you need depends on how much you like looking at clothes...teenager clothes, mostly... I think a few hours is needed, really. There are stalls and shops with other things too, not just clothes. There is a main market area, a smaller market area, then all the shop in the streets nearby, too. If you go by tube you will probably see signs, and you pass the smaller market area on your right first, and, oh, I forgot, there is another market area along the canal, after the bridge, then the main "Stables" market area is on the left when you cross the bridge. There is also an underground more punky bit on the right by the tube in the Electric Ballroom. So there is a lot. When I was a teenager there was a lot less there (and more second hand stuff), but I would still spend a few hours.
There are plenty of bits to sit down and have food or drink, so you could sit by the canal while your daughter explores shops next to it - there's a sort of square with shops and market stalls by the canal.
So, hmm, probably more than a morning, depending on how much your daughter likes shopping!
