Help this stop....

Jul 19, 2005 19:28

I think I've had an anxiety attack everyday for the past 4 days, and it sucks. I had to leave work thismorning it was so bad. I feel like one of those people who can't leave their houses cuz they're too scared. I have a doctor appointment tomorrow at 2. I really hope she can give me something to make this go away. I feel so weak!

I tend to do that sometimes, just come out of nowhere. Especially when life is rough. lol

I have some Xanax that I took on Saturday night, and than again last night. I just called off work tomorrow cuz I don't want what happened today to happen again tomorrow. I have my doctors appt. at 2. I just hope they can give me something to make it stop. What did you take when you had this happen? Thanks for the comment. It makes me feel better knowing someone knows what I'm going through. :)

Those side effects are reasons I'm scared to take something. But at this point, anything will be better than this! I do agree Xanax is a great sleeping pill. I've never slept better than when I take it thats for sure! lol Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it.

I know it's been a while since we've talk and/or commented on one another's journals... And, you probably hate me or something... But, I wanted to comment...

I'm sorry you're having anxiety attacks. I know the feeling and suffer from severe generalized anxiety disorder. I saw a Dr./psychiatrist to get meds to make them go away... I'd suggest Lexapro, as they're the least habit-forming/addictive, don't take 3 weeks to get in the blood stream and have the least side-effects... I only took them for about a month and actually got into yoga/meditation to help overcome anxiety and now I don't take anything. I hope you feel better soon and that you know that I know what you're going through and I wish I could make it stop.

Take care,

Thank you for commenting. :) I really appreciate the support. And I don't hate you.

I've heard Lexapro is good. Only problem is that my insurance is shitty and it will cost me $50 a month to take it. :( So unless they make it in generic form, I don't know what they will prescribe me. Hopefully something that works fast. I have thought of yoga. My aunt does it and says it works wonders. This past weekend I've just been REALLY REALLY bad. Thank you again for the comment. It helps more than you know! Take care.

I saw your entry and they did give you Lexapro! I don't know about taking it until next May though... That's pretty intense. I'm not sure if you saw your Dr. or a psychiatrist, but if you don't want to stay on it for that long, try and get an appointment with a psychiatrist. Lexapro is good for a "quick fix" (especially since it's one of the fastest drugs for anxiety disorders) but, a psychiatrist/psychologist can help you figure out why you're having the attacks... Sorry to sound so crazy on this subject - I'm a psychology major and love the medical field... Try yoga, too! <333
