A weekend from hell....
We lost her today. She collapsed in the backyard, so we took her in and had her put to sleep. It's like I was watching her die all weekend. I layed by her side since Thursday night. She just got so weak, so fast. It's not fair, and I don't think its hit me yet. It's going to be hard tonight, she usually sleeps with me all the time. I'm scared, I don't know how to handle this. I've never experienced anything like this before. I didn't want to leave her at the vet after she went. I just stood there and hugged her. It felt like I was living in a nightmare, and still does. She was my best friend, and this is going to take a while to get over.
