UT English Department = Not So Smart
Ok, I am at school in the English Lab (ie the lab only English majors can use and boy does it show). I am by myself. I have been for about an hour. I have my music blasting but there is no one here, so who cares?
This is how dumb my English department is. Ready? To get into an engineering computer lab, all you have to do is swipe your UT ID and wallah, the door opens.
The English lab...oh no, we have to make it sucky. Its a combination lock. You punch in the combination and hten the box opens. In the box is a key. You take out the key unlock the door. Then you must relock the door (with the key mind you, there isn't one of those twist things on the inside of the door to lock it). Then you must repunch the combination. Then you hold down the black button and push the lock back into place with the key inside it (and this step never works on the first try because the key often gets in the way, its attached to the box lid thing). By the time you lock it, someone else is ready to unlock it. LoL. All it takes is someone to punch the combination, not unlock the door, and then walk off with the key and no one can use the lab. Ya, aren't we dumb. Plus, we only have the concept of a printer. I mean it sits there, nice and pretty with four boxes of paper underneath it and a nice shiny stapler next to it. Oh but it has no toner and the department didn't buy any yet. But not to worry! There is paper and a stapler, so that will get you through, won't it? lol makes me laugh so much at how stupid this is.
Anyone the computers are nice, but yah i just wanted to post about that. I finished my Dickens paper #4 and have been doing spanish online plus using a companion site to study. I needed a break. guess the break's over.
