I wish I had a time machine
Man oh man I wish it was 40 minutes from now. Even 35, when I could justify packing up. Staying at work until 6 on Tuesday and Thursday really kicks my ass.
A summary of today/this week:
:( Fell today on my walk from the bus stop to my office. Skinned the crapola out of my knee, but managed not to spill my tea, even though I ended up on my ass in some landscaping. Knee looks like a four-year old's. Will have a scab.
:) Had a cuing drill in conducting today. Though not graded (surprise!), my prof said I did a "very, very, very good job." Niiiiice.
:) Finally sang dreaded French song by musical sadist Geoffray correctly. Go me!
:) / :( A faculty member who apparently has it out for me said (I kid you not!): "I don't understand -- The numbers in the minutes from last meeting that Jenni gave don't match up with the numbers Jenni gave me this morning" -- AT A FACULTY MEETING! In front of the whole staff, faculty, and my boss. Boss stood up for me and I got the satisfaction of being able to tell said faculty member that he had neglected to read the title of the table of information I gave him, and that therefore my numbers were right. Jerk.
:) A wee private happy thing. Not going to share, so don't ask. And no, it doesn't involve a boy. If it did, I'd tell you.
:( Have been sick all week, although am feeling mostly better. Sucks.
:) Have rediscovered tea. Yum yum yummers.
:) / :( Showed outstanding moral character when I was offered a free ticket to see Billy Joel tonight, but turned it down because I already had plans with friends for a Grey's night that is just a bit more special than most. (I seriously deserve props for this, people -- or maybe a conk of the head for letting a FREE TICKET FOR BILLY JOEL slip through my fingers!)
:) Was asked by my boss to schedule a review meeting with her. Have sneaking suspicion that someone may soon be a full-time employee.
:( Have been having a seriously ugly week. Seriously. I need some pampering -- anyone up for a mani/pedi/eyebrow wax this week or next? I gots to get myself ready for....
