Sorry, I'm a little slap-happy right now and need to get to bed. I just found that really funny.
Oh, when I was a kid and I'd play Barbies with my friend I was ALWAYS the guy dolls (we had many...how else to you create drama and angst?). She controlled the girls (none of them named Barbie) and we split the kids. We had a very elaborate organization for "playing" Barbies. We thought out long, contrived story lines and called them "episodes". They were crazy with people dying and kids orphaned and one guy always having to step up and take in the orphaned kids and unwanted babies and girls smacking guys because they were idiots. They were hilarious. When I went off to college she presented me with my favorite doll as kind of a gag gift. It sat on my desk until I got married.
I'll never forget the 3 main characters--a love triangle: Donnie McFly, Midge Stevenson and Mickey Heart, lol. So corny (most of the names were corny). Donnie was always in love with Midge who always ended up with someone else and Mickey was always her best friend who was sometimes in love with her but knew Donnie was head over heals so would step aside.
