tv time: Sanctuary and SGU [spoilers]

May 10, 2011 15:36

The baby decided to take a real nap in his crib in my room and the other kid is watching something in the other room so I can actually watch and concentrate on TV.  Decided I better get through last night's shows while I had the chance.

Sanctuary:  Okay, for what was basically a clip show this was freaking hilarious.  Loved the scene in the van when the girls were all worried about Magnus and the guys were like...whatever, she can take care of herself.  But poor Henry, having to give up the girl.  But the end scene with dinner was great.  I'm so wondering what the heck is so great about Alfredo's, lol.  It did look yummy and I'm not big on Italian food.  Was freaking hilarious when Will and Abby walked in wearing, um, next to nothing.  Magnus and Henry just took it in stride...well until they stole all the food.  And I just couldn't stop staring at Amanda Tapping's smile.  It's just so pretty.

Watching the clips made me realize the first episode I watched... the one with the crashed helicopter.  I remember seeing the previews for weeks with that line, "That was like James Bond, Die Hard cool!"  It cracked me up so I had to watch the episode.  I had no clue what was going on but I was hooked.

SGU:  I'm only 11 minutes into the episode and already I've almost burst into tears twice.  It's so freaking sad that it's ending.  Grr.  Poor Park.  And Young is looking like hell with the weight of the entire crew resting on him.  I love that they are actually more like a crew instead of them against us going on.  Camile is actually concerned about Young and he's getting along with Rush (even if he doesn't like the guy).  They've all become... family.  A big dysfunctional family.  I think the downfall of the show is that it took too long to get to this point where the crew is working together and they've gotten used to their situation enough to start joking around and not worrying about life and death constantly.  It feels so much more like Stargate... just in time for it to end.  Sigh.

Back to watching (if Nora will stop interrupting every 2 minutes with updates on iCarly).

OMG, I'm not sure I can get through this episode without bawling my eyes out.  The scene with Eli and his mom was so bittersweet and could anything else possibly go wrong.  Oy, too many twists and heart-wrenching problems and I still have 10 minutes left to go.

oh gawd...the end montage of the ship shutting down was heart breaking.  I just don't even know what to say it was so sad.  I, um... yeah, I have no other words.

*sniff, sniff*
