writing!
So to start off the 750 words thing I ended up writing 1276 words of SG-1 fic. I think it might be chapter one in a longer story. I started it with an idea for a prompt at writerverse but then Sam and Daniel started chatting and things went off in another direction. I shall see where they take me.
That's a pretty good start to the new year, no?
I signed up for getyourwordsout again. Last year I pledged 200k and got about 153k done. Not too bad considering the crappy year I had and my lack of computer time. In 2011 I wrote over 170k without even trying. And I didn't do NaNo that year. In fact I barely wrote anything from September to the end of the year. This year I pledged 250k. I think I can do it if my mood stays at least where it is now. I so want to be back to the way I was writing in 2011. The stories just flew from my fingers.
Now I should probably go do some reading. I have 14 library books to read right now and I wouldn't be surprised if I wake up in the morning to find more books have arrived at the local branch for me. They all seem to come at the same time.
