So, it has reached that time. The time in which I have to decide whether or not I want to spend the next eight months working on a creative writing thesis.
I honestly don't know.
Pros
I already have about 1/3 the necessary material if I choose a poetry thesis. Only about 1/6 if I go with fiction. It provides an easy option for my capstone requirement, which is necessary for graduating. If I decide to go on and get a PhD (that's a big 'if', mind you) in creative writing/literature, having a thesis I can point to and say "Oh, here's some of my work" already is a good thing.Thesis means Dr. Lowery will not be making the sad puppy eyes at me.
Cons
I don't want to write*. I haven't for a while, and I don't know if the desire to write will return in the next eight months, or ever. If I decide not to go for a PhD (though my mom has already begun telling our family that I am... thanks, Mom), this will be eight months of stress and frustration for nothing. It is much, much safer to not do a thesis and wind up writing anyway than to try to complete one and not manage it.

*In all fairness, I don't want to do anything.
