Oddly enough, Iowa is actually a lot more progressive than people think. My state was one of the first to allow interracial marriage, was an early proponent of desegregation, and also was one of the first states to allow women to attend universities and was the first state to allow women to take the bar and be lawyers.

I like my state, sometimes. :D

i actually have no opinion of Iowa in any way, shape, or form!
in all honesty, i'm pretty southern in my State Knowledge; i know a lot about texas state history, and some about the surrounding states... but i am a complete blank slate on any midwestern states. hell, i barely know new england geography.

Whenever someone insists that hard that homosexuality is a choice, I get the impression that for them? It's a really, really difficult and painful one. And I feel sorry for them. But only a little bit.
