I'm so sorry about your aunt :(

I really wonder if we aren't doing this stuff to ourselves somehow ... cancers, infertility, etc. Is it because of the world we live in? The stress? The food? The carcinogens that are all around us? When I think about it too much it scares me. I can't help but think though, there's a correlation.

Big hugs to you and your aunt.

Yes. I strongly believe that it's all something in the environment that we've created. I think there's a huge connection to the chemicals we ingest and utilize in our every day lives. Plastics, parabens, toxins, etc. It's all affecting our genetic makeup. Seems the things we've created to make our lives "easier" are winding up killing us!

*sigh*

Thank goodness for modern medicine.

True! If we didn't have modern medicine, we'd be in a lot of trouble on this earth.

I'm not sure if you knew this (as I'm pretty closed-lipped about my personal stuff), but my dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer a couple of years ago. He's in remission now, but the news hit me hard when I first heard it. Initially they were concerned that it might have spread to his bladder, but at this point they don't believe it did. Anyway - I don't know. It doesn't make sense why it (cancer) is seemingly always happening. Is it happening more? Or, are we just imagining it is because we're getting older and as a consequence of that it's happening to people we love because they're getting older, too? Either way, it's not easy to deal with. To me, it's one of the scariest things in the world.

*sends you even more hugs*

Oh GOD, E! I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. And he's YOUNG, too, isn't he?

*sigh*

I wonder about it a lot, too. I firmly believe we are doing it to ourselves somehow. But I often wonder, too, if it just seems more prevalent since we CAN diagnose it these days. It's confusing, any way you look at it.

I'll be praying for your dad. It's so hard to see a parent suffer.

My dad is almost 50, so yeah, he's relatively young ... for this kind of thing, anyway. He's lucky he caught it early. Thanks for thinking of him. I appreciate it ♥
