Oh my goodness! I'm FINALLY updating!
NYC absolutley ROCKED. Dancing with the Rockettes was extreme. Backstage all-access pass to radio city every day, training with actual rockettes, learning the authentic routines and formations, yeah pretty badass. Absolute best moment? Doing a full kick-line ON THE WOOD of the Radio City Music Hall, the biggest and best stage in the country, possibly the world. PLUS I got to perform for real at the American Airlines Theatre on 42nd street - a real Broadway theatre! GAH IT WAS SO FIERCE! My legs were wicked sore all week and my feet hate me (here's a tip, I would reccomend practicing dancing in 2 inch heels before doing it 6 hours a day for a week) but it was completely worth it and I'm pumped to go back next summer.
One thing I won't do the same though, is stay at the same place. Lindsey and I stayed at this sort of boarding house we found on craigslist. Our room was small but at least for the first half of the week we were only on the second floor and had a private bathroom. Then we had to move to the 3rd floor which had communal bathrooms instead. Plus we both have these crazy bugbites all over the place and we think it might've been bedbugs because they're supposively coming back this year. Ew. But it was still cool to kind of actually "live" in the city instead of staying at some hotel.
As soon as I came home I just missed Andrew before he left for Boston and then: surgery time. Pre-op Monday, tonsils and adnoids out Tuesday. They kept calling it T&A, to which I laughed heartily because that's a totally different surgery that I could probably also use. It sucked A LOT for a while. Pain medecine had to be taken with food but it hurt too bad to eat. Then I'd kind of space out for a while and sleep with REALLY REALLY weird dreams. Pretty trippy stuff.
So yeah. Summer is just about over, I'm finally healthy, and I'm just trying to enjoy the next 2 weeks and make some money before heading back to school. Laura comes home the day before I leave (hurrah! the love of my life!!!) and basically I'm trying to rock it up with my Cary crew before we're all seperated until Christmas. AHHHH WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE?
