So this christmas is going to be a bit different. My parents aren't coming in town, Dave's parents are assholes and we haven't heard from them since some time in september. His mom called yesterday (out of the blue) and said they had gifts for Aleck. I don't know if I want them to come over and give them to him. I don't think it's fair that they get to be fairweather grandparents. I never know what to say when Aleck asks about them. Do I tell him the truth and say that they don't want to see us?? But then christmas comes around and all of the sudden they are willing to come over. I know I should just be happy that they are doing SOMETHING, but I almost would rather they do nothing.
It's just going to be my little family christmas morning and I don't want them to come over and ruin it.
