This effing city is a disaster. Disaster, I say! I was thinking that since it didn't really snow last night that the city DPW might get out and clear the roads. Nope. They have not, *have not*, been touched since I left work yesterday. And Ithaca doesn't have the parking ban like Oswego does, so there are cars parked in the streets, with so much snow on them that the snow is backing in to the streets, making already narrow streets even narrower. There is no excuse for this. We got two feet. There is eight at home, and while there are some problem areas, you can still get around the city. Christ, two feet here is like the world coming to an end. I'm severely tempted to send a letter to the mayor and complain, because the conditions here are just rediculous. I was going to see if any place here was doing the Guinness toast tonight. Not anymore. I will not be travelling to the city of Ithaca until Monday morning when I have to get to work.
