Jayant's 1 month Birthday Party!
Jay's been here with us for a month now! I can't believe it's gone by so fast. Eventually I'd like to post my birth story but I'm not sure when I'll I have sort of time right now. He's been a pleasure though and while he cries, what little newborn doesn't? He always has a valid reason like he's hungry, or dirty just wants to be held. He's always easy to calm again and has the cutest grins and giggles already!
I decided I had taken a cooking hiatus long enough and tried to see if Jay would give me enough time to bake a cake. I didn't get too far into the mixing when he started screaming so I put him into my sling and wore him while finishing up the prep work for the cake. He fell asleep in the sling so I was able to put him back down and put the cake in the oven. I made a "Better than Sex" cake but since it's inappropriate for a 1 month old and not something he can relate to, I decided to rename it "Better than Boobies" cake.
