ooh. other books i like to read to get in the holiday spirit: the little house on the prairie books, and the narnia books. i am not sure why those books do it for me :) though in the little house books--laura would get an orange for christmas and be so thrilled! that reminds me to try not to take things for granted. she would be shocked that we can get orange so easily that we can leave them in the fruit bowl until they get mushy and then toss them :(

Yes! I feel the same about those books too! I just read the Lion, the Witch & the Wardrobe the other day. There's just something really homey and familiar about them.

I know! It's driving me mad! I can't believe I would have lost it! It's because it is on video, and all of our videos are in a box, while all of our DVD's are on the shelf. I'll have to get it on DVD and give it a safe and prominent home, where it's always ready and waiting to be watched! Argh!

Yes, that's the one! It is a yearly holiday ritual for me too! I also like to watch it when I'm feeling under the weather. There's just something about it...I don't know. I never get tired of it.

Which Little Women movie? The old one?
I think the last dress Elizabeth Taylor wears at the close of that movie is the most beautiful dress in the history of the world.
