So much has happened these past few days……I wrote an entry about how excited I was to have 12 pledges this semester, but the computer ate my entry and I’ll never see it again :( So it’s Saturday and I’ve gotten to meet most of these girls and answer lots of fun questions they have about pledging and the sorority in general, and we’ve shared many memories through photo albums of the past. I just can’t wait until they are all in. I really hope they all make it, because they just seem so great! I think these girls can really change things around for our “low in numbers” reputation and not only that, but also make a big difference in the way things are ran around this campus, because they all strike me as leaders. So…Last night I went out to the baseball house for the first time since they moved in. It was rather interesting- I was sober, but I still somewhat enjoyed it… and seeing Jenny O after having drank a whole bottle of ? who knows what was rather hilarious. She’s great, and she definitely made me laugh at the party. I wish she could pledge too, but the softball coach is something else here as is the volleyball coach. Anyways, sorry I missed out on the second Jacuzzi Suite party :( that was last night too, but too far away this time. Although, I think I’ll probably skip out on the rest of them until Dan finds someone else to pay for the room. Can you blame me after last time? I mean I’ve learned important lessons, but I think it’s best to just avoid the whole situation. :) So, next on the list…….what is up with Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey stripping the title away from Cedar Point for the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world??? Ok, Intamin definitely didn’t have their s*** together when they built the first coaster over 400 feet tall. Maybe they have learned from their mistakes, but it just seems a little odd that if a 420 ft tall coaster has trouble getting up over the top at 120mph, how is a 456 foot coaster going to have what it takes to make it up the hill at 128mph? Well I was bummed out to say the least. I’m a die hard CP fan, and it hurts that someone would mock top thrill dragster down to the 270 degree twist on the flip side. I hope they had some employees practicing some benchmarking techniques, because they will need all the help they can get when their ride breaks down and Intamin is nowhere to be found besides across the ocean in Switzerland. Next on the list………TKE Red Carnation Ball (RCB) and my Carnation Ball are set for the same date! Nightmare or convenience??? Well, I am trying to help my fellow TKE-e boys. They’ve picked the date and location, but at this point in the game, they may not be able to be too picky about a hotel. If we could party and have our formals both at the Marriott North in Columbus on the same night I would be in heaven, but if one is in Columbus and the other in some town far away or even the other side of Columbus, I’ll be bummed. Having them on the same day means I only have to buy one dress, but if these places are far apart I may not be able to get trashed or worse yet, I may not be able to attend both. Luckily, I’m not in this alone though, because Allison will want to attend both too. By the way, I asked Rob to be my date. I know we’ll have fun! I just hope it all works out. So that has been the last few days. I woke up sick this morning and that was no fun, but I still managed to get some work done today. My ethics case is complete and we made lots of progress on the organizational behavior group paper, so that's that.
