Resolve 2009

Jan 02, 2009 22:05

I am sending off for my passport next week when my tuition check comes in.

I am going to spend Spring Break in Mexico.

I am skipping Kerrville to go back to Alaska, with the intention of living on the beach in Homer and working as much as possible at a coffee shop or three.

I am going to plow into some sort of independent undergraduate research, and generally kick ass at school this semester.

I am going to quit getting drunk on week nights while school is in.  I will continue to self-medicate my anxiety issues with the good green.

I will have a short story published by the end of the semester in a publication that is not run by Texas Tech.

I will bring something cool to Lubbock, Texas, through our new house show music venue, Church of the Holy Spoke and Musician Half-Way House.

I will finish my 13 Ladies of the Moon poetry chapbook.

I will establish and achieve various goals for physical improvement.  I want to be able to bench press my own body weight, run four miles without batting an eye, and rock climb like a sticky footed gecko.

Shmoo and I will start our chaotic and never-to-be-expected zine Minty Tentacles.

I will finish at least one of the novels I am working on, and at least begin the process of publishing it.

This is what 2009 will be for me.
