What the hell, I can squeeze in a yoga class and preparing for guests, can't I? Of course I can. I'm glad I caught Val's class, since she's rehearsing for the Croatia festival this weekend and can't come over. We hug and laugh a lot after yoga. I love her teaching style and the way she encourages challenging yourself.
The Bicycle Choir is whatever it is when we are together, and tonight there was a lot of laughing and talking. As usual the spread was to be envied: Amie brought over a tiny, beautiful bottle of her home brewed raspberry honey mead, and Anne brought, "oh, this is just a wilted arugula and fresh tomato salad." Yum! We haven't gotten together in a while, so we played quite a bit with songs we don't really know but like, and started work on Wond'rous Love. I think we can really make it amazing, especially with Carissa on the uke. Chris, Leslie, Joss and Randy dropped in for a song or two, and sang along for Wade in the Water before heading over for the Friday night fire at Stronghold.
After a few scheduling near misses it looks like we'll make the Kinetic Skulpture Race in Port Townsend this weekend. Now, to track down a virginal harvest maiden off of which to eat apples (long story).
I don't think I can capture what I feel when I am alone at home tonight with Ursula, my floorboards ringing with song and my kitchen hearty. And you know what, I don't think I'm going to try.
