How about that tassimo (sp?) thing? I don't know how much it is or what it does exactly, but yeah, they have spiffy hot chocolate you can make in it, as well as teas, etc. I'm sure Miss certain barrista can be of actual help. Best of luck!

Ah! Thanks for the rec. Turns out to be like $160, though, and I think you can only use their special disk thingies as the mix? Though that'd suck, 'cause they don't have many non-coffee ones, bleh...

yeah, that's true, you do. They do have no fun brands... I found a hot chocolate my Dad mentioned from a REALLY long time ago. I'm almost tempted to get the thing just so I can get the hot chocolate, but yeah, not the most reasonable idea I've had, LOL! That's true, Coffee has overtaken the world:-( Best of luck!

My knowledge of home machines isn't all that great. (The one we use at work cost approximately $25,000. It's a beast. We think it may become sentient soon.) As far as the steam wand goes, steaming and frothing milk is only a matter of placing the wand in different places in your milk. Uh, if that made any sense. Basically, to steam it, stick the wand a good distance below the surface, and then hold it back up to just below the surface to create foam. Maybe home machines are easier, so who knows. That's not what you're asking, though, is it? Bleh. Starbucks, I think, sells home machines in some stores. We really don't. But if you want 30% off Tazo chai (which is what Starbucks uses), let me know, and I'll hook you up. :-P Oddly enough, the chai we use to make drinks with is so much stronger than what we sell retail that we have to dilute it with a ton of water. Yeah. More than you ever wanted to know about the joys of being a barista, I'm sure ( ... )

Thanks! Dude, I had no idea about the foam vs steam thingy, thanks for letting me know!

Yeah, the big machines are kind of a huge hassle for what I want. Talked to my dad and he just said to get a hand blender to mix it, heat it in the microwave, and mix it again to make it creamy. I'll try that out for now (besides, I don't have an electric mixer, so it'll come in handy either way >.>).

Who knows, maybe I'll actually get my recommended calcium now, haha.

And I might take you up on that Tazo Chai offer... have to see how it all works out. Thanks!
