happy turkey day...
it's thanksgiving, and for the first time in 16 years i'm not eating dinner at mimi's with the rest of my family :( mimi decided she didn't want to deal with it this year, and i don't want to have dinner with allen so i'm going with the poseys to their grandfolk's. if i can't be with my family, they are the next best thing... it's not like i enjoy my family anyways... i just miss the tradition.
i went to the enclave last night to see brian at the open mic. he and john groff played extremely well. they have the best spiced chai ever. umm i've decided i want to participate in a poetry reading there... so you can all come support me, hah. but yeah i've really been working on some of my poetry, and i think it's finally decent enough to use.
i've been writing sooooo much lately... for two days straight -crazy.
umm what else... WE HAVE SNOW! hurrah... i drove in it for the first time last night and i slid really badly, but i was able to regain control just fine. i love the snow... there is just something about it. i think it's the fact that it has the capability to suspend time. when it snows everything just stops... it makes people stay for awhile, and appreciate the beauty of things, and i think sometimes that just what i need... for someone to apprecite something but themselves.
*see, the truth is, you could slit my throat and with one last gasping breath i'd apologize for bleeding on your shirt
