Dear Yuletide writer,
Hi! And thank you in advance!
Overarching comments: I am a hardcore romantic. Not in the sense that I think love solves all problems, because it doesn't, but in the sense that I believe that happy endings are possible. I prefer them to be earned, but I do love my happy endings. Probably my most infallible plot-kink is trust (and contrariwise, my biggest plot-squick is partner betrayal).
Anyway: further details on the exact requests:
Kashimashi: Girl Meets Girl - Kurusu Tomari, Osaragi Hazumu, Kamiizumi Yasuna - A happy AU wherein they really do go for the threesome option? A happy post-canon piece where Yasuna sorts out how to deal with the girl she loves finding happily ever after with someone else (and Tomari and Hazumu sort out how to work 'happily ever after')? So long as it's happy, I'm good. Smut a plus but not required, inclusion of the other kid characters also a plus but not required.
This is a very very new fandom for me - like, just read this manga maybe a month ago. The thing that amazes me about this canon is that the plot is, uh, deeply silly, and shows its seams very blatantly - more than once, it seemed like I could see the mangaka all like, 'um, dammit, what should I do now?' But the characters, especially (but not exclusively) the main three, are so well-drawn and so real in how they react to the dippy situations they find themselves in. ...okay, and there really was a point about half-way through where I was like, 'wait, no, seriously? They're going to go there?' I haven't seen the anime yet: I'm told they handle the ending a little differently.
(If you haven't read/seen this and you're interested, the subbed anime is available on
Veoh, and the whole thing including the OVA is 11 episodes. The manga is harder to find online, but I found it at my library.)
Gakuen Senki Muryou | Shingu: Secret of the Stellar Wars - Muryou Subaru, Moriyama Nayuta, Murata Hajime - How did Nayuta deal with how the final confrontation went down? How chill is Hajime, really, with having his whole worldview shaken up like a snowglobe and then set down to be normal? Does Muryou have anything else up his sleeve? Gen, threesome, whatever you like so long as it's focused on the trust between these three.
If you got assigned this, my God, who are you? I must know you! ...this is less a request and more a statement of fact, unfortunately, as this is probably the tiniest fandom I have, and apparently consists of me and either the people who showed it to me, or the people I've showed it to. I love the way these three work together, once they get over their issues. You can just show the three of them taking on high school (and probably taking over the high school), and I'll be ecstatic.
(Sadly, this is probably the least accessible of my fandoms. The anime is available online if you Google for it, but I haven't had any luck finding it easily in anything but dub format. I have Philosophical Objections to dub format if I can avoid it, so no link love for this one. Again, I've found the DVDs available at my library.)
Mamma Mia! (2008)- Harry Bright - Did Harry and that Greek boy just meet that evening during the party, or had they met earlier? What happened after the party (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)? What happened next? How fluffy can one request about a fluff movie be?
Not that I don't like the other characters! It's just that Harry is my favorite. Also, this is a happy adorable movie, so I'm basically just looking for more of the same, except Harry-focused. Further ABBA songs optional. ;-)
(This is probably the fall-back, if you need one. It's one two-hour movie, easily available wherever fine DVDs are rented ;-).
Baccano! - Claire Stanfield - Claire's awesome courtship of Chane? Claire's attempted courtship of any of the various girls who rejected him? Claire being bloody and awesome in general? Oh, wait, that last is *all the time*.
Yet again: I like the other characters, it's just that Claire is my favorite. :-D The boy has style. He's messed up in the head, he's convinced he's the center of the universe, he falls in love at the drop of a hat - and yet, once the woman he's chosen actually chooses him back, he stays fallen. So to speak. Give me smut, give me violence, give me none of the above: so long as Claire is Claire, I'm happy. The OVA was nice, but not enough.
Whatever you write, thank you again, and I look forward to reading it!
