Yuck.
Its really winter out there. No joke. Ice. Snow. Cold. Realllly cold. On top of all of this I have to commute to classes now...which is fine...except when I watch everyone fall on their bottoms left and right all over the sidewalks of URI which are...and I exaggerate not...SHEER ICE. Sheer ice skating rinks. Normally I'd get a little smug watching the cute sorority girls fall but something about the fact that everyone was falling made me connect more deeply to the human condition. There's something so humiliating about falling isnt there? I actually didnt fall today..I save that for crisp fall mornings back in 2008 where I just decide its a good time to fall and smash my face on the pavement of the Fine Arts Parking lot..get ushered away in an ambulance..and have a lovely black eye for two weeks. Ah, memories.
