The harsh truth

I'm poor right now so I had to download the new Morrissey album and wait until i have some extra money to buy the DVD edition. But I fucking love it, not disappointing at all. It makes me so happy that some of my favorite bands ever are still making great music (Danzig, the Damned).
He's going to be performing on The Craig Kilborn show all five nights this week, starting with an interview on Monday. The other day I saw him on the cover of a magazine, Spin or something. I didn't have time to read it though, it's probably somewhere on the internet.

Adam and I went to an Honor's Award assembly that I was invited to for school Thursday night. I won an art award with a little medal and a 15 dollar gift certificate for winning 1st place in the creative writing contest I had entered a few weeks ago. So that was a pleasant surprise. I used it towards a gigantic Art technique and materials Handbook. So far it's proven very insightful and it'll be one of the required readings for college, so it's nice to get it out of the way early.

On Wednesday night I picked up my first paycheck at Arby's and the greasy bastards paid me 25 cents an hour Less than what was agreed to when I started there. I have the status sheet on myself that they keep in their database that one of my managers had printed out for me a while back. My rate was 6.25 there so I know they just went in and changed it when they did payroll, thinking I wouldn't notice or something. It makes me so mad, that's such a horrible fucking job to do. The least I expect is to not get screwed over on my paycheck. And they still had the gull to bitch at me about getting several nice new pants and shoes, just for the job.

So I quit. It so wasn't worth working there for shitty pay and having to smell nasty roast beef and fried food and getting lectured on the proper dress etiquette of a fucking back-line sandwich maker. Hopefully, I can find a new job. It should be slightly easier since school will be done and I can work more hours. But I know there aren't many more job openings than before, which is shitty.

We rented Ginger Snaps 2 last night, it was awesome. I think I like the first a little better but there wasn't anything about it that i'd complain about. The Werewolves were great, the first close-up of one was the scariest Werewolf shot I've ever seen. Ah, it creeps me out so much when I picture it. I liked Brigitte a lot in this one. She's one of my favorite characters from a horror movie. Before, the grimaces she made annoyed me somewhat but I didn't notice it in this one. I guess they're making a third, which will be a prequel.

And another really, really awesome thing to come of this week; Rob Villareal let me on his website as one of the featured artists. Go there
