Floating Questions

So, I've been sick and stuck at home for the past three days. You'd think being sick, I'd slow down and rest...that's not really me, though. I look at it like I have all this extra time alone that I don't normally get, so I've been squeezing out every last ounce of it. Yesterday, I spent hours researching the 1970's band, "The Runaways" after seeing the trailer for the film. Many teens watching this trailer and film just think it's a cool rock and roll movie about a tough girl band. Little do they know there's all of this amazing history behind the name.
Being the music guru that my family raised me to be, I researched the band and ended up downloading 25 originals from the outstanding band, "The Runaways". For those of you who don't know about these girls, they were the first teenage all girl rock and roll band. Joan Jett, a more familiar name, was one of the lead singers in the band, along with Cherie Currie. These two are played in the modern movie by Kristen Stewart (as Jett) and Dakota Fanning (as Currie). I haven't yet seen the film, however I'm very interested in doing so. I am glad that I did some research on the real band and the history first, because I can now appreciate the band before putting the modern twist's image into my head. I have therefore decided that I should have been a teen in the 1970's. My music and style taste would have been better appreciated there.
Random Thought:  I think that Taylor Momsen should have been cast as Cherie Currie, however. Taylor has a band, herself, along with a confident personality and a unique voice. She writes her own songs and she also has the look. Just a thought (: For those of you who do not know about Taylor Momsen, I strongly suggest a google search. Her music is phenomenal. She's only 16. Check out her band "The Pretty Reckless" on the Vans Warped Tour this summmer as well.

Also, I've written up a list of questions that have been floating around in my head. I'm trying to make myself rest, but laying here, I've ended up writing instead.  So, here goes. I'm not really looking for answers, I just think these are interesting topics to think about.

Who figured out that:

• by saying "cheese", it forms a smile?
• lightning never strikes the same spot twice?
• animals are colorblind?
• boiling macaroni noodles makes them soft?

Who came up with:

• the first chocolate chip cookie recipe?
• the shapes of music notes?
• the first rhyme?
• nailpolish?
• the idea to make bracelets out of dandelions?
