Jenna Harper. That's me. I'm a fifteen-year-old girl from Manhattan who's being forcefully relocated to some God-awful town in the middle of Virginia. My mother, I guess, got fed up with me, seeing as I've been kicked out of my high school at least 8 times for pulling tons of pranks. But, I mean, come on. These people had it coming to them. It wasn't like I was a bully, picking on the nerds or anything. Heck, I should be congratulated and thanked for teaching people valuable life lessons out of the kindness of my heart. Exhibit A: the mean girls who think the world revolves around themselves, their money, and their bra size. Yup. They were easy targets. It's really their own fault that they left their make-up sitting out on the locker room benches in P.E. while they faked sick in the nurse's office to get out of running "THE MILE". So, I replaced their foundation with itching powder as a symbol of karma. In all actuality, I was helping these girls out, teaching them a valuable lesson about lying.
Needless to say, my divorced mother does not see these pranks as life lessons, so she decided to leave her upscale magazine company and move the family out of Manhattan and into a smaller, quieter town. She didn't even blink an eye when I threatened to run away to Vegas, get a tattoo, gamble all my college savings and marry some guy I met on the internet. Thanks, mom. I love you too.
Now, I, my mother, and my little sister, Jacobi are going to be living our lives (if you can even call it "living") in Staunton, a small town in Virginia, and what I think is fifty thousand miles away from life. Maybe even fifty one thousand.
The Unjust World of Which I Live In is the title of my journal. I've decided to make it public, seeing as how my life in the real world has already been ruined, so why not try to make friends in the virtual world? Heck, maybe I'll become some internet sensation. That would be the one, sole accomplishment of my entire life. Hey, a girl can dream. Even a delinquent like me.
