D-Day

Today’s the day. We are officially moving. I finally got most of my junk packed away, so the movers are gonna get the heavy stuff like the beds and cabinets or whatever. I am so bummed. I don’t know whether to give my mom the silent treatment or just totally piss her off. Both are genius techniques, but I’ll have to use them sparingly. Jacobi, my runt of a sister, is HAPPY that we are moving. She ran around the house all morning, screaming in excitement. I considered tripping her when she ran by the breakfast table, but decided not to, since I didn’t feel like making a trip to the hospital today.

So, we are leaving after dinner today. But, the worst part is…we are driving! It’s like a million states away! Do you know how many times I am gonna up-chuck after driving around in our crappy, beat-up, Cadillac for days? Not to mention the music my mother will be playing all the way. She grew up in Brooklyn, NY, and she likes this Blues crap. Seriously, it sounds like the Hulk sat on top of a car, and the annoying sound of the squeaky horn is blasting through the speakers. I don’t even know if you can call it music, really. It scares me. Hopefully my MP3 player can go loud enough to over-power her…gulp…music.
