Woohoo, I'm 20 today. This isn't totally a post about saying it's my birthday just to scam birthday wishes and attention, but it is somewhat, so feel free to boycott in disgust.
I bought (well, theoretically I was acting as a conduit for Kenneth to buy) a baby pink Nintendo DS yesterday for my birthday, and picked Super Princess Peach as my first game. I love it, it's all so pink and happy XD Plus it's a pretty easy game where in the normal levels it's almost impossible to die. But the game is either incredibly feminist or a bit sexist, and I can't decide which...
My dear mother in her infinite wisdom tried to surprise me with Yoshi's Island DS (which was my all time favourite Super Nintendo game) but I feel bad because I already bought it for myself/Kenneth's DS before I left for my trip, and I already finished it (except for Bowser at the end), so I don't really want another copy. Was a really great idea, if I hadn't seen it first. Damn my extra money lying around. Awesome game. So I think I'll see if I can trade it in for one of those brain training games that also have sudoku built in, because that seems like the in-crowd kind of game to get. Meh.
Anyway, I'm probably keeping my poor brother awake, and he got me the new James Morrison CD and some purty sun shades for my Barina, so I love him muchly. Other birthday loot included some hand made bracelets, and a couple of history books (because I'm woefully ignorant and I want to fix that), plus a copy of Homer's Odyssey. Score :)
