"You've made me a sillier person."

- Sam, on wanting to squeal at the squirrels and treasure the trees =D. One of the best compliments I've ever received.

Another wonderful week.

We housesat again. Monty is healing up well! He's even mrow-ing for attention/pets again, always a good sign.

Sam was back in school this time. While I really did enjoy being in that big house with no responsibilities, it was sad that I could not spend more time with Sam. This time, though, it also had a lot to do with down-to-the-wire band practices. Man, I'm just glad he had a full ensemble. Craig is a good bassist and picks up things crazy-quick, and Piper learned both guitar and keyboard parts. It just took up a lot of time, and combined with schoolwork, it left Sam really exhausted, poor guy.

But he is just so amazing that we still were able to have really lovely homemade dinners together and have two awesome date-days.

Dinner highlights: Homemade miso soup (I'll never buy grocery store miso soup again!), a repeat of my new favorite garlic eggplant tofu stir-fry, and a DIY Mexican flavors salad.

Also more trips to the co-op, indulging in a weird mutual cake craving and new liquorice loves, as well as gathering various yogurt-covered delicacies; and more trips to Vie de France, indulging in perpetual carb addictions. And Whole Foods Salad Time #1. Yum.

The weekend (#1) was so much fun. We went to the American Visionary Art Museum - my first time! Oh man, that place is so cool! And the gift shop is one of the best I've ever seen. I got a "MARYLAND" shirt screened with their logo - I had to - plus some pins and a "COEXIST" bumper sticker because I'd never seen them right in front of me before to buy them.

We had a Groupon (or LivingSocial or one of those other things) to The Brewer's Art. However, we neglected to make reservations so they weren't valid, but we were both starving so we ate anyway. OHMYGOSH, the tomato bisque. Basil-infused chevre and a rosemary crouton. Plus a watermelon-feta salad for me and a falafel wrap for Sam. This was Brewer's Art Dinner #1. Then Fells Point and a long browse through The Sound Garden for some records.

Weekend #2 was incredible because it started off with his show!! It was at Jammin' Java in Vienna, VA, which is totally unassuming from the outside but really nice! For lunch we had Whole Foods Salad #2. The show was awesome. Like I said, they really pulled it together, and it sounded great. It was cool finally seeing them on a proper stage.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(< pretty much as close as I will ever come to summing up my feelings on that. It's inarticulable, and I'm still speechless.)

My god I love watching him just rock out. I love knowing that at that moment he's just so happy...I find myself wanting to save that, to have him that happy always or make him that happy as much as I can.

Also, to put it simply and lightly, it's a big f#@&ing turn-on. Seriously.

Went home to unpack and rest for a bit, then back out to Brewer's Art, since this time we made reservations. More bisque, grilled peach-chevre salad for me, and a ridiculously rich cheesy parmesan-drenched polenta for him. I see us going back.

Also back to Fells Point! This time we happened to walk into a patisserie. Meli. There was a chocolate mousse bomb with a honey glaze and gold dust. We got it.

Then Sound Garden again!

Lots of repeat affairs this weekandahalf, for damn good reason.

Went out to the harbor afterward and sat down on a bench by the water. The night was cool and breezy and beautiful, and we are in love.

Sunday was blissfully lazy.

I can hardly believe it only gets harder to leave him. This time was the worst so far. It just wrenches my heart, and his eyes! Your eyes!!! I packed up as slooowly as possible...

And then? And then he threw the door shut.

I didn't leave for about another hour.
