Nothing bad happened =). Evan and I just kinda realized we weren't really in love with each other any more, though there is still a great deal of affection, and we're still very close (obviously, still living together and all). Like my mom said to me, it was a very healthy relationship, so it was a very healthy "breakup." This all came out into the open very quickly, so actually, you're really not missing anything!
Whoops, didn't see this reply. Yep, it ended up just both of us realizing that we weren't in love with each other anymore. Maybe a little sad, but it wasn't really an unhappy moment. I still hold the same principles, because it's not like they were ingenuous or I was trying to make excuses for us feeling distant. But everything just happened in a whirlwind (seriously, SO quickly) and, 'lo and behold, once again I am unable to be single. lol. I'm totally happy.
Well I hope you continue to be happy! Relationships are tricky things, and it's a worthy skill to know when to end them and how to end them amicably. Took me a long long long long time.
