(no subject)
I always forget this when I open this browser to post an entry, and I remember it now so I'm saying it!
Last semester, I was getting in my car to drive to school I think...well, to drive somewhere - to my parents' house maybe? - and there was a beautiful little bright red flower stuck under my windshield wiper. I don't know how it got there, because it was wedged in really well and didn't fall from the tree I was under, and it hadn't rained recently before that day.
But it completely made my day. I don't know why, but I seem to remember that at random moments, when I need a smile, and it always picks up my mood. I love those little things.
This summer I have:
- Been to NY, twice! NYC, Canastota, Cooperstown (Otesaga Resort Hotel, Baseball Hall of Fame)
- Had the best desserts I've ever tasted, all vegan
- Had the best pizza I've ever tasted - also vegan (miso tofu instead of cheese, killer!)
- Been to Wegman's, the best chain grocer EVER (grocery stores are mini vacations to me, especially awesome ones like Roots/Wegman's/Trader Joe's)
- Not worked a day, and LOVED it (yet I've still -)
- Bulked up my resume editing some important documents for Energy Masters, as well as content for their website (in progress)
- RUN, a lot! It feels amazing!
- Built muscle! It might just atrophy during the school year but oh well...
- FINALLY read The Fountainhead, one of the most brilliant books in existance
And I can't wait for Renn!
