Emma's 3rd dentist visit

Aug 12, 2008 02:43

Emma had a cleaning today. It went well enough. She went in smiling, sat in the chair and let the hygienist count her teeth and look for cavities. Then it was time to get the spinning brush and toothpaste out. Yeah...screams.

For the record:
First visit-She was shown the tools, sat in my lap, but refused to open her mouth. They "checked" her teeth when she screamed at the top of her lungs and we ended early.

Second visit-She sat in my lap and let them show her the tools again. She showed them how she brushes her teeth with a huge toothbrush and mouth for a demo. She let them take a better peek at her teeth, but when the noise making stuff came out, she flipped.

Third visit-Sat in the chair, let it dip back and go up high, let teeth be counted. Inspected the water spout and suction tube thing. Freaked out when it was time to actually clean the teeth. Also claimed to like neither strawberry or grape flavors.

Next visit is in March. Maybe since she'll be weeks from 5, she'll let them do something. Thank God for insurance!
