Some time ago, 
beadslut and I were talking about crossovers and she (or I) made a comment along the lines of, "You know what would be really funny? Gibbs (of NCIS) staring down a werewolf, because he so would."
And so we played with that idea for a while, bringing in Hermione the werewolf hunter and writing Abby dialogue to entertain ourselves. We sent it to beta with Catt and then lazed about editing, since we'd shared it once, already, and revision isn't the fun part of writing, it's ... well ... it's revision.
Then
florahart came up with the Hermione BigBang and we realized that we had a Hermione-centric story that had already hit more than 20K and here was a built-in kick in the butt. So we signed up and incorporated Catt's suggestions, then got another beta and re-wrote one character entirely and wound up with 36 thousand words of Tony and Tim snarking and Abby flailing and Ziva being deadly and in the center of it all, the ruthlessly practical Hermione Granger, saving the day.
HBB went up a while ago, but if anyone missed our post, Stranger Things is now up in two posts, with the art integrated, on Beadslut's Dreamwidth.
We enjoyed writing this immensely and we think it's fun and clever and we'd like to know what you think.
