01. What are your nicknames?
Smitty. I’m sure there are others, but no one’s told me. That’s probably for the best.
02. How does your hair look currently?
Short fluff swept up from around the barber’s chair. I don’t know how women do it.
03. What's new in your life right now?
The protein pancakes that the mess is putting under fruit sauce. I’m reserving judgment. They’re odd, but, well, they are at least the right color.
04. How many colours are you wearing now?
OD unders and black BDUs. That’s two. Does my patch count? If so, add another three.
05. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Neither. I’ve never been the life of the party, but in an enclosed space, you learn to lower your voice. We’ve got a lot of people living in this city.
06. What was the last book you read?
ARTEP 10-414-30-MTP. Might as well be fiction for all the good it does out here.

09. Is there anything that has made you happy these days?
Regular supply runs.
10. What's your current obsession?
The missing case of bandages that the infirmary says I lost.
11. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
As long as it takes. Shower, shave, dress. Maybe ten minutes from bunk to door.

My email, and the general bulletin board
13. Do you write fic? What was the last fic you wrote?
I write letters home. Sometimes. Not as much as I should, considering how much I depend on receiving them, but, what can you say? I’m a lot more interested in the goings on at home and I can’t really tell anyone about what’s going on here.

Gate team eleven coming back from MK4 GH2. Rainbow dandelions. There are times when I wonder if this entire trip, this entire galaxy, isn’t some kind of fever dream and I’m in a Sheffield hospital hooked up to tubes. Rainbow dandelions.
