Sorry Dears, I know I haven't posted in a million years. Um, let me try to give highlights from break:
Christmas shopping:
I got Joe (my brother) the cd he has wanted for literally 3 years, but had been unable to find. God, I love that kid so much. I have loved hanging out with him over break.
Conversation with my mom and sister in the dept. store (with the young salesguy laughing at us):
Mom: Girls, I think I found a shirt for Dad, can I get your opinion?
Both of us: Oh, no! You're kidding!
Me: You've gotta stop with these shirts.
Sarah: Plaid is horrible. He would look like a lumberjack.
Mom: What? I think it's nice.
Me: You know what? Sarah and I are here, why don't we just pick something out?
-Sarah and I search the store-
Me: You buys this crap?
Sarah: I am beginning to understand mom's choice.
-We find a green sweater and bring it to mom-
Mom: But he already has a green sweater. And he doesn't were sweaters to work! (She later went back and got this sweater in a different color).
Me: Oh, we are looking for workwear?! Then lets just get a shirt and tie!
Mom: Should we get a white shirt?
Sarah: No, definately not. He needs something different.
Me: Like this. (I hold up a bright blue shirt)
Sarah: NO! Not that bright a color!
-We finally settle on a black shirt some five minutes later.-
Mom: Now we just need a tie.
Me: How about this?
Sarah: No.
Me: Why not?
Sarah: Its striped.
Me: So?
Sarah: Stripes are half as bad as plaid.
Me: Oh I give up.
Sarah: We should get this one.
Me: Ew.
Mom: How about this?
-We both look in disbelief.-
Me: I think you're on to something.
Christmas:
At Grandma Bee's:
My cousin Jonathan and I bonded. He's an awesome guy.
At home:
We opened presents right after midnight mass and went to bed at 3 am. I got lots of cds and an amazing book on the PRB.
Driving up to Grandma Shirley:
Mom is driving, I am shotgun, and Joe is in the back. I am playing music, which is currently on POD
Mom: (switching lanes in bad weather) OhGodOhGodOhGodOhGod...Youth of the nation.
I stare in disbelief.
Mom: What?
Me: Quick recovery. (Mom moves to switch lanes again) Oh mom, I got this one, don't worry. Oh God Oh God Oh God....
Mom: Oh stop it.
Movies I've seen:
Rumor has it and The Family Stone
The other stuff is kinda heavy - I'll write about it later.
