Dorkdom

Jul 29, 2005 03:40

Well, with the air conditioner in my house breaking for four days and other random things going on, I really hadn't the time to update. But, now I will share my dorkdom with you all!! >w<

Five reasons you're a big dork, justified and explained, + tag five biggest dorks you know.

1.) My obsession with anime/manga. Simply put I have enough manga to set up my own store, and most of them are in a language I'm not even fluent in (including my 18 volumes of NOW in Korean which I can't understand). I have a blatant obsession with anime, I watch for new anime episodes to be released the minute they are released raw, then I'll download them again with subs (when they finally come out). My concept of reality is partially distorted by this craze of mine.

2.) I'm a major drawing geek. Of course most of the stuff I draw is anime, though I do sometimes dabble in the real world. I have about three stories right now which I'm working on (very slowly) to turn into mangas. I spend most of my waking hours if not on the internet then drawing. I have more scribbled on papers than the pope has followers. ^^;

3.) My 'SLIGHT' internet obsession. Okay, I say slight, but my family says addiction. All I do on my days off is surf on the web, downloading random things (songs, manga) and checking LJ, DA, and about 20 others sites to see if they've updated. The amount of people I'm watching on DA is monsterous. Let's just say, I was off the internet three days, and I have 186 new deviations to be viewed. -__-;; I eat, sleep, and dream internet. I dunno what I would do without it.

4.) Trying to learn Japanese. I am a big dork when it comes to me trying to learn Japanese. Not only do I have over 10 different 'teach yourself Japanese' books, I also have tapes that I listen to, friends that I bother to help me learn more, and signing up for the college class itself (which is 5 days a week - as many techies already know). Maybe it was because my babysitter spoke to me in Japanese while I was a baby, or maybe I just really wanna understand my piles and piles of books.

5.) My oriental food eating 'musts'. I always have to eat Chinese, Japanese, or Thai food with chopsticks, otherwise I feel as if I am doing a dishonor to the food itself. I learned at an early age how to use them because I bought so much Chinese food from the Krogers near my house (it wasn't too bad actually). While my family may feel content to eat with the fork, spoon, and knife, I'm a chopstick girl all the way (unless it's soup, which is dreadfully hard to eat with chopsticks).

Most of my friends have already been tagged, so all who read this and haven't already done it may consider yourselves tagged!
