Orlando looked at Sean and he wanted something.
Because Sean was the man who played Sharpe, who was in the James Bond movie. He was someone. And he was someone that Orlando knew, that Orlando talked to. And maybe Sean didn’t seem to particularly like Orlando, really have any kind of feelings for Orlando, but he acknowledged Orlando and that was something.
And something was better than nothing and a somebody having his cock down Orlando’s throat was better than a nobody having his cock up Orlando’s arse.
So Orlando had something. It wasn’t everything. But something was on the way to everything, and at the very least, it was better than nothing, which was what he had the year before. So Orlando was fine with something.
As long as happiness didn’t count as anything anything.
