Orlando smiled as he looked across the area where the cast and crew were sprawled about eating lunch to where Viggo, sword in hand, was showing Sean what he had learned in weapons training the night before. He could not help but watch as Sean bent to retrieve his own sword and imitate Viggo’s movements.

“How come you aren’t over there showing off you’re skills?”

Orlando looked up as Billy flopped down on the ground next to him, taking a bite out of a pear as he settled.

“Because I’m an elf,” Orlando replied, his haughty elf voice on the tip of his tongue. “And I would not sully my combat with such unwieldy weapons. I prefer to do my fighting from a distance,” he continued, fingers moving down to stroke he quiver of arrows on the ground between them. “Or if I might fight hand-to-hand, I have the intelligence and manual dexterity to use two swords, and not those huge clunky things they have either.”

“Yeah, yeah,” Billy said with wave of his hand toward the two men Orlando had been watching. “But do you have the balls to tell them that?”

“Well, I would,” Orlando assured Billy with a confident look, trying not to smile as he continues. “However, they are in obviously in need of more practice, and far be if from me to interrupt their much needed time of work.”

“Sounds like a lot of talk to me,” Billy scoffed, tossing the pear core at a near-by trash can, then flashed a grin to the camera operator who picked up the core where it landed a foot from the can and tossed it in with a shake of her head.

“Hey, humans!” Billy called out, hands formed into a make-shift megaphone. “The elf has something he wants to tell you.” He turned and smirked at Orlando before turning his attention back to Viggo and Sean. “Something about your abilities in battle.” He paused for a moment, looking like he was barely able to maintain his laughter. “Or your lack there of.”

“Is that a fact?” Viggo called back, sheathing his sword and glancing at Sean. There was a twinkle in his eye that Orlando knows means trouble.

“Perhaps a fact as he sees it,” Sean responded, just loud enough for Orlando and Billy to hear, though he made a great show of making it look as though he was only speaking to Viggo. “Perhaps we should give him a nice, gentle correction of his facts.”

“Now that’s a good idea,” Viggo said, advancing toward the two younger men seated on the grass. “Teach that elf a lesson.”

“Perhaps more than one,” Sean added, following Viggo, his sword still in hand. “Might even take several.”

Orlando gulped as he watched the men advancing, looking toward Billy for help.

“What’s that, Dom?” Billy called back over his shoulder. “Yeah, be right there.” With that Billy gave Orlando a huge grin before shooting to his feet and dashing away before Orlando could say another word.

“Thanks for nothing, you arsehole,” Orlando called after him before turning back to look up at the two men now standing over him.

“Did you have something to say to us?” Viggo asked, the grin on his face making Orlando’s palms sweat. “Something about our fighting?”

“No, no,” Orlando responded quickly, flashing a grin at the two men. “Nothing at all. Not a single thing. Just admiring your, uh, strength with your weapons,” he added, preparing to get to his feet, but before he can make it, Viggo pounced and he now found himself sprawled on his back with Viggo kneeling over him.

“Where are those elfin-reflexes of yours now?” Viggo asked, his grin looming large over Orlando’s face. “You prissy elf should be across the set by now, not laying here like some helpless hobbit. In fact, even the hobbit got out of here faster than you.”

“Get off, human scum,” Orlando groused, hand shoving at Viggo with little affect. “I don’t fancy looking like I just rolled around in the mud like you do.”

“You hear the disrespect?” Viggo smirked at Sean. “You think he needs to be taught a lesson about the relationship between prissy elves and humans who don’t mind getting dirty to fight?”

“Just say the word,” Sean said, and Orlando could see his eyes shining down at him from over Viggo’s shoulder and he shivered, a jolt of excitement as he looked back at the smiling face.

“Hey! Time to get back to work you guys!”

The call disrupted the scene and Viggo gave Orlando another crooked smile before climbing off the younger man.

“Next time, prissy elf,” Viggo told Orlando, offering Orlando a hand up before turning and dashing off in the direction of where Peter waited for them.

“So you better watch your back.”

And with that, Orlando felt a firm hand come down against his backside when he bent down to pick up his quiver before the sound of Sean’s feet start moving off in Viggo’s direction and Orlando was left, tugging down his tunic in the hopes no one, especially Sean, would notice he had become half hard just from that a tap on the arse from Sean.
