I built a house! On Friday, I went with a bunch of co-workers to help out one a Habitat for Humanity house. It was so much fun and a lot of work. I've always wanted to do that, and I finally had the opportunity. I think I will try to go help periodically on my own. It's a great program.

Saturday, my seeester and her hubby took the Mackster away. They went to update his Ridemakerz car to a remote control option, then they went to the Strawberry Festival. I'm a little jealous because I've been down here far too many years, and I've never been to the Strawberry Festival.

While they were gone, JP and I bought Mack a pseudo-loft bed and some accessories to turn the under part into a private little reading area. There's a comfy little chair, some pillows, all sorts of lights, a bookshelf and a little table. I'm REALLY jealous of that. I want an awesome reading area like that.

Mack literally screamed like a girl when he saw it. He'd been eye-balling the loft bed with cool lights underneath for a couple of years. Now he has it. He spent most of Sunday playing under the bed, and watching this planetarium thing he received for a birthday or Christmas.

JP ordered a quad-band ham radio, and played with that a good chunk of the weekend.

I loaded Windows 7 on my ancient laptop yesterday, and I have to say I love Love LOVE it! This is what Vista should have been. What it would have been if Microsoft hadn't rushed production to get it out so it could compete with Apple's OS. When it's available, I would recommend everyone should upgrade. Always do a clean install if at all possible. (This is true of any OS. Upgrade overlays end up all messed up.)

I think that's it. If there's more, I shall post it if I remember. I always tell myself "I'm going to post about blah and then I totally forget. Do you do that?
