I discovered a new raft of cooking blogs. There's one woman who is trying to do at home what the best restaurants in the world manage with a giant staff and state of the art equipment. She's also an award-winning food writer. Alinea at Home is fascinating.
I had no idea that real cooking could dirty so many dishes/pots/things and/or take so long. And then there's a snarky, sarcastic woman who puts up killer recipes. I had
this one tonight and am still seeing the face of god. (With a Frown. Cause it wasn't fish.) And then there's Serious Eats, which reports on weirdness like
orange juice, cereal and bacon cookies and
restaurants that do weirdness like only serve meat from steers descended from one bull.
