Let's see, two weekends ago I went home, that was really fun.
Thursday:
Left campus at 3:30 to head to the L with Cindy. Yay for flights home with friends! Took an hour and half on the L to get to Midway, wait around for another hour there to go through security and stuff. flight was moved from 6 to 6:35, on top of all that it was late, so in the end we took off a little after 7. Hour and a halfish flight. Saw Elm Street in the beautiful city of Manchester, New Hampshire from up there in the plane was amazing :) Didn't have to check any luggage, so if was off the plane right and in a minute I was outside calling my dad. He picked me up, I said bye to Cindy and we went to Bickfords for a late night breakfast dinner. Yay for french toast! In the car to my house I woke Kara up to say hi, (sorry about that..lol) and she wanted me to go over. I would have loved to, but see I hadn't seen my mom in over two months...so yeah. hehe. I LOVE MY BED.
Friday:
Oh Friday...how I loved you. Let's see...Kara called and woke me up when she woke up and I drove Greg and Chris to school. Hung out in the morning like what I used to do for classes. I got lots of big hugs from everyone and I LOVED it! Kara got the first one of course..she made me promise..hehe. And then I proceeded to get knocked over (literally) by Timmy. That's what I get for getting a running hug from someone while standing on stairs so I have nothing to step back on except to fall, lol. talked to B for a little while and got a huge hug from him and he told me "Welcome Home." That was very nice to hear, because I was home in that old dusty room :) Once the bell rang I went to Wal-Mart to get some much needed stuff for my room, like tape to hang up pictures, and velcro stuff to hang heavier stuff, like my marker board and the wall hanging thing that I got from the Otte's for graduation.
Then at 11:45 I went to pottery! I miss that class a lot, but it was so fun to go back. Felt slightly dorkish for going back to my high school, but oh well. I then went to Kara's American government class (they weren't really doing anything) and to her graphics class (the teacher said I was doing good! hehe.) And believe me, going to her classes with her did nothing to relieve my feeling of being a dork. OH WELL!
Picked up Greg and Chris from school and then went home for a little while.
Friday night was the football game. It was so WEIRD not being in one of those uniforms! I saw Mrs. Lacaillade at the game (my middle school band director) and she asked me why I wasn't up there with them. I was like, "uhmm...I graduated last year Mrs. Lacaillade.." She said she felt so old! hehe. The band sounded and looked absolutely AMAZING and it was soo good to see my brothers march! And, on top of all that, we won! This NEVER EVER happens! hehe. Yay! After the game I drove Greg and Chris home and Kara followed me to my house with Timmy and the three of us went back to her house to hang out. I mean...Kara didn't drive Timmy and me to her house...that would be illegal...0:) Hung out there for a little while, and I slept over her house which brings us to..
Saturday:
Kara and I woke up after an amazing night *wink wink* haha...We went to Chinese for lunch and then she brought me back to my house. I got Greg and Chris and we went to go see my Dad. Hung out with him for the day..yay for mini golfing and me sucking at it and Pizza Hut for dinner and then a good ol game of Trouble. Had an awesome day with my dad and my brothers which was really good. Got back to the house at like, 8ish. I then...went to Kara's house for a few hours. I know, I know, big surprise, right? HA.
got home at like, 11:30 and went to sleep. I LOVE MY BED.
Sunday:
It was the annual meeting, which you know what that means. Heck yes for the CHIC sub-sale! so during first service I just kinda hung out. Got lots and lots of hugs from too many people to count and apparently I look very collegiate. I don't think I've changed that much..but hey. My hair is highlighted now...that must be it...yeaaah. Went home and I had a headache so I took a nap, you guessed it, I LOVE MY BED. Went to youth group and it was so nice to see everyone there again. Dad drove us to the house, and we had our good-byes, which..idk. It was what it was. We said good-bye after church which was horrible but then we ended up being able to see each other again anyways, so the second time around wasn't so bad. Yeah, ok. Enough on that.
Monday:
Went up to Wolfeboro and saw my grandmother and my aunt/uncle and my other uncle and my little cousin. I missed her so much! I helped my aunt buy something online...oh boy. That was pretty funny, hehe. Had a nice but short visit up there and then we went back to the house, I finished re-packing and picked up Greg and Chris from school, then off to the airport..sniffles.
Kara and Timmy came and saw me off with my brothers and my mom, which was really really nice. I got my last few real hugs from them till Christmas, which was nice. Once I finally said goodbye for real I went through security and found my gate and all that stuff. Flight was delayed again, and it seemed like it took forever to get back to the school, what with the two hour flight being delayed, plus the hour and a half L ride, and it was raining when I was walking back to campus. How stereotypical for it to be raining. blah. Oh well.
In the end I had a good visit home. I still miss you all dearly and can not wait for Christmas but I think I'm good now. I guess I just needed a reminder that this is where I need to be for now.
This past weekend was fun to, Amy Matta was here for a competition thingy and she spent the weekend with me. Friday night we hung out at Java Haus and on Saturday we went to Giordanos for pizza and came back here and watched a movie. I woke up at 6:30 on Sunday to walk her to Magnusun and wait for her ride to get there and such. Fun Weekend.
I also love surprises. Friday night was the best one I had had in a long time, and that was Kristy came and I was able to spend a couple of hours with her :)
So, yeah. I guess the school week is just the school week. Full of staying up to late and not getting enough sleep and work and classes and ARA meals and blah. lol.
Well, now that I wasted so much of your time by writing this ridiculously long entry, I'll stop now. I'll try to update more and then maybe they won't be this long..but we'll see how that goes :p
<3
p.s. I'm also very thankful for second chances and the opportunity to make a strong and real relationship with someone who as we both said, we grew up next to each other, and not with each other. Let's see if this time we can get it right :)
