Minita.
One thing we like doing together is walking around the college campus. There are a lot of great places to sit in the grass (such as where I got my first kiss) or on a bench, and we find trees that we can climb. Let's see, I think we've found three great climbing trees so far? There's also a mucky pond with some turtles (including a small-ish snapping turtle) and koi that we like to visit. I love that she's 27, and she's driven, ambitious, and mature, but she's still young at heart. I want to be like that in 5 years.
So far I've met only one of her friends, her roomate Deepti. She's nice and stays out of our way (they have a one bedroom), and she's also fun to talk to. I love it when she and Minita chat, because Minita's accent gets about 10 times stronger. Sometimes I can't even tell if she's speaking all English when they do that. Oh man... such a sexy voice my girl has.
Friday night she called to ask if she could stop by my house because she was in the neighborhood, and she ended up staying for dinner. She, to my surprise, said that she had a great time talking with my family, especially my sisters. We all talked Harry Potter for a while, and she loves my sisters and wants to get them gifts (partly so they'll like her when I come out to everyone, although they already do). I think she misses being with her sisters a lot, especially with the younger one, Soneera, who she's closer to than the older one, Nikita. Then, Saturday night she got to meet Chris, Aidan and Michelle W. She had a pretty good time, although she was nervous about meeting them, and Chris and Aidan both said that she passes the best friend test : ). At one point we were deciding which ice cream place to go to, and Minita and I started kissing, and Aidan yelled, "Hey, concentrate!" Lol...
Today I'm meeting a couple of her friends, and tomorrow a couple more, I think. Whee. I'm kinda nervous about meeting them, but it'll be alright.
I'm still adjusting to all this. It's hard for me to figure a lot of stuff out- which I guess I'll talk about next time, along with last night's revelation about Minita. *Groans* Hee hee.
