I got back to Brooklyn on Wednesday. I spent the night playing with my nephew at my brother's place and watching Starsky and Hutch.
Thursday, I saw Shany and Rachel, and we hung out making wraps and eating ice cream. Aw...I love my girls. :)
Shany and I joined Lee and her friend for dinner on Friday night. We ate at some random italian joint in the village, after spending hours driving around lower Manhattan in general looking for parking.
When we woke up on Saturday morning, we went on a quest to find a bat-mitzvah present that Shany needed to get. We wandered around Chinatown for a while, before ending up in SoGood jewelery on Bway -- home of the most shiny objects to be distracted by. Seriously. Can't walk past without going "Ooooh! Shiny!" and walking in. It's true. We plan to go back and wander the flea markets and stuff down in Soho when we actually have money to burn.
Saturday night, I hung out with Lee's buddies. We made a supermarket run and found lots of amazing things, like pirogies, brie, Emeril's brand salsa, and even bread in a can! They all went bowling, but I stayed in and watched Fiddler on the Roof on PBS.
Sunday morning I managed to get a little more PBS action in by watching a bit of a James Dean documentary while waiting for Lee to get ready to go get breakfast.
Sunday night I got to see James! yay!
Now it's Monday... right? Um.. Shany brought me tacos! (Cuz she looooves me)
