Out of the mouths of babes...
Is there anyone out there who doesn't know this little childhood ditty?
Five little monkeys, swinging in a tree,
teasing Mr. Alligator, "Can't catch me!"
Along came Mr. Alligator, quiet as can be,
And SMACKED a little monkey out of the tree!
The Duchess was singing this on the way home from school this afternoon. After she finished the final iteration, she paused in thought for a moment, then commented of the alligator, "You know, he could have just used his words."
I love my kids.
