The Job hunt continues...

Oh my Goodness, I feel so productive right now. I just went hog wild in the newspaper, applying to any job I could find.

There are two jobs at Pearson in Hadley..One is Data Processing and the other is a Copy Center Coordinator. I have a year's experience working in a copy center so I thought it was a perfect match. The only bad thing about it is that it is in Hadley and not having my own car would make it very difficult to get there.

There was a slew of Administrative Assistant jobs listed and I applied to most of them..but one caught my eye right away. I mean, instantly. It is a Administrative Secretary for the Office of Student Affairs at Springfield College. Can you say WOOT?!? Being a RA for 3 years..and actually working in the Student Affairs office at the Ida may help me out big time with this position. I actually am very good friends with Donna, the Administrative Assistant at Mount Ida and Ive included a whole bunch of references from that one office, including the Vice President of Student Affairs and the Dean of Students. Its a very short drive from my house and I could actually take the bus if needed... oh I feel really good about that one.

Something that has to do with Residence Life, is a position at the Macduffie school as a resident assistant. It would be like college all over again, living on campus and supervising the residents. Im not really sure if I could do that just yet...unless you can think of a reason of why I am.. any suggestions on what I should do? Should I go for it?

Another job was a Graphic Designer position at Paper Images in Holyoke. They design a variety of paper products including gift bags, greeting cards, and stationary. I thought I could never get a job in my field because of what happened to my artwork. It was taken from me and I had no control over it. It was my best work..and the thought of never getting it back made me discouraged about my career choice and killed my confidence to the point where I have none. But, I sent in my resume and a few samples anyways..just to see what happens. The only con in the job is again..its in Holyoke and I don't have my own car.

So..Ive been given new hope. I really want that Springfield College gig..I do, I do, I do!

Oh By the way, I went by WNEC yesterday and I saw all the frosh moving into their rooms and I got jealous.. seriously :)
