Thanksgiving Weekend

Thanksgiving was interesting.  My brother is in Oxford, so it wasn't exactly the same as normal. It was the first year that the four of us haven't been together on Thanksgiving. I guess it's the start of a trend though. Life is changing and that's the way it is.  I also missed being with Chris on the holiday.

I was home from Wednesday night through most of Saturday, which was nice. Yesterday was tree trimming day.  That was fun. I spent most of the day decorating with my parents, then came back to the apartment to be with Chris and start decorating my apartment.   Today will be more decorating and getting into the Christmas spirit, because you know what...it's less than a month away. Crazy.

Now then...I went to see Rent on Wednesday afternoon with Chris, then saw it again on Friday with my mom.

I still find it's hard to gather my thoughts on the movie. It had such a profoud effect on me. Both times, I cried from 'Without You' though the end and beyond. Like I found it hard to pull myself together once the movie was over. The story resonates with me on so many levels that I actually found it difficult to discuss it with anyone.  I definitely enjoyed it more the second time because I don't think I was focused on what I saw as the faults as much.  Like, dude, 1989 really didn't work for me.  I never had the opportunity to see Rent on stage, but I can definitely appreciate some of the things that I would imagine the movie could bring us that the show couldn't.

Anyway, I'm still basically incoherent.  I really really love Rent
