Today: I got into a HUGE blow out with my Psych prof...because she started preaching about Sexual Orientation. and how the religious right want to ban gay marriage NOT because of moral issues but because of the social constructs of the family unit as a whole.
and then she branched off on how there have been case studies done on lesbians that have raised male children and those male children have had behavior defects based on the absence of a male role modle...I came in with a rebuttal of that could happen with any single parent family where the only influence is female, and WHY are we blaming the woman anyway?...she HATED that...and segwayed into how it is not an issue of HUMAN rights at all, because WE...at least have civil union. Then this lady in the back of the class...decided she wanted to make a statement about "those goddamn lesbians on TV" and how she feels that it is being forced upon her...That statement was not stopped...
I left class early and filed a complaint with the dean of academic affairs...
who just happens to be a huge DYKE.

and she was PISSED. Then when I got home...there was a message on my VM, from my prof, she was saying that she had noticed that I was "upset" and wanted to follow up with me, and hoped that if I was upset with her that I would take it up with her the next class period...I figure she will KNOW I was upset when she gets a call from the dean. RIGHT. yeah. mmmk.
