I'm Jenizaki. If you're here, you probably read something of mine at Fanfiction.net. So, welcome! :D
I'm pretty much done with writing "serious" fics until I figure out how to step up the quality a bit. I don't like publishing what I'm not proud of. I'm better than I was when I was younger (I read some of my old stuff and I literally shudder) but I'm working on improving. So, mostly comedy fics for meeee!
In fear of looking like a total asshole by customizing my Fanfiction.net profile, I've decided to relocate here. My opinions are my own so I'm gonna keep 'em out of my fics.
So, here's my no-holds-barred profile! :D
Let me first say...
When I talk, I mimic. It's just what I do. So when I randomly type something like "OMG U NOOB!" I'm bashing the fantards who talk like that. I've already done it several times in the midst of typing this, so I thought I'd clear that out. XD
So, with no further ado, begin the rant~~
Historical fantards.
Seriously, STFU. Nobody gives a crap if the historical lore isn’t exactly how it was in the game/book/movie/anime/manga/various assorted medium. I don’t care how historically inaccurate I’m being. If you’re so insistent that the historical context does NOT get effed with, you’re on the wrong website, buddy.
If my story is EXACTLY the same as the game I'm writing about, that's not a story, it's copyright infringement and it's boring. Who wants to read something they can just play? What's the point of writing about a topic if you're not going to put your own creative spin on it? Either you don't have much of an imagination (insert Spongebob rainbow motion here), or you're boring.
Kids, writing things exactly how they went historically is not called a FAN FICTION. It is called a DOCUMENTARY. And there's a reason people sleep through documentaries.
Also, before some politically correct buffoon blows their water reading this, allow me to say-- I am not bashing history. I love history. American History is a favorite topic of mine. I'm not going to brag about being a history buff when it comes to the Three Kingdoms Era or the Warring States Era in Japan (Samurai Warriors) when, in truth, I really only know what the games tell me.
But y'know, I'm writing for DYNASTY WARRIORS. Dynasty Warriors is a fictional game. The game depicts women characters such as Da Qiao and Xiao Qiao taking part in historical warfare alongside their husbands, weilding edged fans of all weapons. SRSLY. The game's big boaster is NOT historical accuracy.
Speaking of historical inaccuracies at its finest, here's my pairing list. (I read more than I write.)
Here's the ones I write-
Pairings I will NOT read-
I scoff at canon pairings because they're boring. Who cares about Liu Bei/Sun Shang Xiang? To me, they're boring. It was an arranged marriage. There's no fun writing about them. I despise Liu Bei as a character. If you want Liu Bei/Sun Shang Xiang white bread boringness, go somewhere else.
Why my OC bashing? Aside from two rare cases, Shini-sis being one, I hate OC characters. They are usually used by a 14-year-old fangirl trying to write herself into a story. I can't blame ya; I'd love to be a DW characterand have a huge harem of attractive DW men err, anyway. But I don't want to read the epitome of your fangirly wet dreams on my computer screen. It's gross. Keep it to your imagination.
For example, if I were to write a story about Jen Izaki (my "Chinese name") going to Wu, and *gasp* she's the best warrior EVAR! And she's so smart! And she's beautiful! And she's got a big rack! And Sun Ce, Gan Ning, and Ling Tong just can't stop thinking about her! ZOMG she's so awesome! Blah blah blah. Does anyone really want to read that? I didn't think so.
*eye roll* Yes, I'm an ignorant, close-minded asshole. NEXT!
TWEENAGED FANTARDS.
Remember the song "Teenage Lobotomy" by the Ramones? I'd like to issue a tweenage lobotomy to every tween who has had their mind raped by Twilight. I've never read Twilight; frankly, I won't stoop to that level.
Meyer isn't the only one to be blamed. I also blame Josh Schwartz and the monstrocity that is Gossip Girl. Friggen lemon stories written by tweens drive me up and down the wall. They’ve become so insanely bad that they should be categorized as “comedy”. If you really think sex between a bunch of tweens is really that captivating, you’re a tweenage tard and you’ve been watching too much Gossip Girl.
Tweens are everywhere. They are annoying. Aside from self-insertions (mentioned above) and horrifying lemons (eww) it serves as a good example of the crapola people are getting away with publishing. And these idiots are critiquing MY work? Puhleeze.
I should say right now I'm no Captain Awesomeness when it comes to my stories. I'm still learning. But I'm much better than these idiotic brainwashed tweenaged idiots.
Bad spelling/grammar.
This one pisses me off so much it's the largest a font can be (on Live Journal). Just because you're on the Internet does not excuse you from typing properly. A few typos I can forgive (god knows I do 'em), but reading a story with bad grammar and spelling makes me very quickly return to the original story selection and choose something else. I don’t make you read bad grammar!!
That's about as much as I can say when it comes to bad spelling and grammar. XDD
Oohkay, that about does it XD I'm really not an asshole, I swear I'm not. I respond to all my reviews; if you review my story and you want to flame it, don't be a pussy and keep me from contacting you. I will not send a torpedo to you via email. I like criticism. And if you're a bonehead who wants to say U NOOB or some associated bullshit, GO AHEAD! I don't care! XD
If I haven't found a way to offend you in the above group of words, or if you've somehow managed to read all that, you deserve a gold star. :]
