Yes it's 7:00am and I can't seem to get back to sleep. It took about 25 minutes for the two inches of ice to melt off of my windshield, then I tried to drive to work but it was impossible. They didn't clean any of the streets, not even the main ones. I turned my ass around and called in. I'm sorry but it's not worth having an accident or getting stuck. I was sliding all over the place and did get stuck turning a corner coming back home. I thought I was going to have to get out and unbury myself but I finally got out. Sandy seemed a little mad and wanted me to know that she was able to get to work and go 35mph the whole time... well I guess that means they cleaned her streets... not my fault. She hasn't missed a day of work in 8 years.
