Teagan has a "boyfriend"....

The other day, Teagan announced to me that "I have a boyfriend at school. His name is Aaron, and he likes the red ninja turtle." I kind-of raised an eyebrow and then came to the calming conclusion that she doesn't really know what a "boyfriend" is and that she was probably just saying that her friend at school is a boy. Well....when I picked her up from school on tuesday, the teacher sent her out to me and as she was running toward me to give me a hug, I heard a little boy sadly saying "teagan!" and noticed he was standing in the doorway watching her leave. When Teagan heard him call after her, a look of realization came across her face and she shouted "Oh Aaron!!" and she stopped in her tracks and turned around and ran back to him where they embraced each other in the doorway.....and then she kissed him on the cheek. Oh dear god...I'm in big trouble with this little girl. They had their school christmas program yesterday where the parents got to come and watch them perform. They sang some cute songs and Teagan was standing right next to Aaron during the performance. He would NOT stop looking at her. He literally just stared at her the entire time and kept trying to hold her hand. Then when we left, she made sure to hug him but she didn't kiss him on the cheek like she did before...but he noticed and said "you didn't kiss me goodbye!!" I really don't think she understands the "boyfriend" concept.... but does HE? Questionable. He's obsessed with her!! And now I'm starting to think that he might have been the one to put the 'boyfriend' idea in her head. Oh my god...here I am...already the protective parent who is insisting that it's another child corrupting my own...I've officially become my mother. LOL. (love you mom)

Other than this minor issue with the boyfriend at school...things have been going great. For the most part we have most of our stuff out of my dads and in to the house in puyallup. Our storage unit is empty so we no longer have that bill to pay either. We are not completely organized here yet but it's mostly because we have so much STUFF that we don't need/want anymore. We've already sold a bunch on craigslist but plan on having a garage sale in the spring to hopefully get rid of the rest. Cleaning out our garage seems like an endless work in progress at this point. Moving in during the holiday season might not have been the wisest decision but I know it will be worth it once we have everything squared away.

I'm mostly done christmas shopping too! I still have a couple things to craft for presents, and still have stocking stuffers to buy...but it feels good to have most of everything bought. I just have to wrap it all. We didn't buy any "big" gifts for Teagan this year because our "big" gift came early...in the form of a 20lb black and tan ball of adorable fur (named Iris.). So we bought her more Littlest Pet Shops, more Ponies, a veterinarian kit (it's actually a doctor kit but I know she will only use it on animals), more Webkinz and a Littlest Pet Shop house. She also asked for a "black and white dog" so we bought that too...and a couple new shirts. That's it for Teagan. Richard and I aren't doing gifts for each other this year because...again...Iris. We also know that the next couple months might be tight financially since we want to do so much work on the house. We bought a new couch, paint is in the works and new floors come early next year. And that's just the tip of the iceberg...

Today we got a light dusting of snow on the ground. I had planned on finally getting some christmas pics of Teagan taken today but now I'm not so sure that will happen....I don't really feel like bundling her up for pictures in the snow. I guess we will see how it goes when she wakes up....
